Meet Sirocco, the World’s First (and Most Adorable) Spokesbird for Conservation
February 5, 2010
Sirocco, is it fair that you are more popular than I was in high school? Granted, you are promoting conversation to help endangered animals such as yourself keep from going extinct, but I was a member of my high school’s environmental club!
I guess you have that cuteness factor. I can’t compete with that. If I were to flap around campus dressed in green feathers, I don’t think I’d get quite the same response you would.
It is just adorable that you take time out of your busy bird day to regularly tweet on Twitter and update your Facebook status. It must be difficult to type with those talons. (I don’t even have half the number of friends you do.)
Good luck to your “Win a date with Sirocco” competition. I hope for your sake that no large cats put themselves in the drawing bowl.
[Ed. Note--Well played, New Zealand.]
